2025 isn't starting off to be a great year for a handful of East Texans.

Two of the biggest issues that are plaguing East Texas are: illegal drugs and driving under the influence.

As we were partying and celebrating 2025's arrival, many were having some drinks and a good time at a party. When it came time to head home those that had a bit too much made the poor decision to get behind the wheel and drive home.

These individuals not only put their lives in danger but the innocent and unknowing drivers around them too.

Thankfully Gregg County law enforcement was intently looking out for these people who were driving impaired. After a traffic stop and field sobriety tests, officers made many arrests for people being under the influence.

Those arrested are now facing a misdemeanor charge and now there's quite the legal battle ahead for them, plus legal expenses.

Among the arrested, there were several DUIs times 3 (or more in some cases), and are now facing a felony charge.
