Free Family Fun: The 3rd Annual Summer Bash Is Heading To Soncy’s Home Depot

There is just something about summer in Amarillo. The goal is to find as much fun as possible and fill up those calendars. Luckily, there is a lot to do. Even better, and bonus points if you can find stuff that is free to do.

Free is a very important word this summer. In a time when costs are rising everywhere, finding free, high-quality family activities is more important than ever.

What to Expect at the 3rd Annual Summer Bash

One perfect way to stretch those summer dollars is the 3rd Annual Summer Bash, happening June 6th out at The Home Depot on Soncy.  There will be a lot of fun. Since it is the first Saturday of the month, that means there is a free kids' workshop.

Building Memories: The Popular Kids' Workshop

They will start the morning off making a soccer goalie game. My granddaughter has attended several of these and has loved every one of them. She has come home making a penguin mailbox, a leprechaun trap, and a farm planter so far. The workshops are always a lot of fun.

Beyond the Workshop: Entertainment and First Responders

On top of that, there will be other fun activities, including a bounce house and a petting zoo. They will also have the first responders out there talking to the kids and letting them check out their vehicles. That’s always a highlight for the young and the young at heart.

If you get hungry, don't worry, you don't even have to leave the parking lot, as there will be food trucks as well. The whole event is free, except for the food trucks. It’s a fantastic way to get the family out of the house for a day of pure summer fun.
