Deep East Texas Showed Up Big for the HTeaO Lufkin Grand Opening Weekend
Well, after months of driving by and preparing for the big day, this weekend it became reality for a new Lufkin business. I'm talking about HTeaO. The grand opening and all the festivities that go along with that took place over the weekend, and they are now officially open for business.
HTeaO Lufkin Grand Opening Festivities
It all started with the soft opening on Thursday. At 1:00 that afternoon, the doors at HTeaO Lufkin opened for the first time, along with the drive-thru. There wasn't too big of line waiting that day, but it was pretty busy.
On Friday, the festivities stepped up a bit, with the ribbon cutting and the Chamber making their way out to welcome the new business with a celebration. The crowd was considerably bigger for this event.
On Saturday, however, the full crowd was on-site for the official Grand Opening. By the time we got there at 9:45 - this was for a 10:00 opening time, by the way - there was already a line that wrapped around the entire building, and the parking lot was already full. There were people of all ages waiting in line to get into the new store to see what it was all about, as well as get free tea.
Samples were handed out by the HTeaO staff, free t-shirts were given away to the customers that were there to get them before they ran out of stock. There was a chance to meet the owners and HTeaO staff members...It was a huge deal, and a good time for everyone.

If you didn't make it, you missed out on a pretty cool experience. I know that pictures aren't the same as being there in person, but take a look at some of the picture that I was able to get of the festivities below:
