Mega Viral “Spooky Season” Drink Spotted On Lubbock Shelves

While the pervasive pumpkin spice will never be passe, over the last couple of years, fall has had another viral flavor (and one I like better): caramel apple. Both flavors embody that cozy autumnal feeling we all crave, but I've always been one for more "fruity" flavors.

The Queen of Caramel Apple Flavor Returns To Lubbock

While stocking up on my Ollipops at United (82nd & Frankfort), I turned around and couldn't believe what I saw: two fully stocked shelves of the hyper-viral Alani Nu Witches Brew flavor. The flavor has been a hit since 2021 (it seems to have peaked in 2025 to me, but it could be even bigger this year). Like most things limited and popular, the flavor had people hunting across stores and posting their scores online. Additionally, Alani Nu will be releasing two brand new "spooky" flavors, Ruby Apple and Voodoo Vanilla.

Confession: I never tried it before, but I picked up a can to see what all the hype was about. I'm way more of a coffee person than an energy drinks person, so I'm saving this treat until I really need it: my seasonal second job in October working at a haunted house. It feels perfect.

Where Have Alani Nu Halloween Flavors Been Spotted In Lubbock?

As I previously mentioned, I got mine at the United on 82nd & Frankfort; however, the very intelligent gentleman who helped me get my stuff to my car (I suspect he's a retired teacher) told me that the flavor will likely sell out quickly. He also told me a bunch of interesting things about the ingredients in Alani Nu that make it special (like B vitamins).

Other Lubbock folks have reported seeing the drink at Walmart on 82nd and Milwaukee, and at Costco in a multi-flavor pack. They will likely pop up more places, but if you want to try it, I'd suggest buying one if and when you see it, because it could be gone the next day!
