Named after our native son who put Lubbock on the music map, many generous donors provided construction and endowment funds, including Sir Paul McCarty. The City of Lubbock also provided vital funds and the land to make this project come to life.

Previously, the area had belonged to the DPS office, which has since been relocated to the Lubbock Business Park in North Lubbock.

Maria Elena Holly generously allowed Lubbock to name the facility after her husband royalty-free.

In addition to being stunningly beautiful, BHH consists of the Helen DeVitt Jones Main Theater, which has a seating capacity of over 2,200, and VIP lounges. I have seen everything from The Flaming Lips and ZZ Top to The Lion King and The Book of Mormon in that gorgeous facility.
