A Unique Ice Cream Treat Gets A Major Upgrade At South Plains Mall
Dippin' Dots were invented in the late 80s by a microbiologist. Don't worry, there are no microbes added- he just had the clever idea to use liquid nitrogen to freeze them. In the 1990s, they gained tremendous popularity and became a staple of visits to places like Six Flags. Big fun times.

Dippin' Dots Are Pure Nostalgia
As a kid, they seemed like the pinnacle of technology (along with calendars that revealed hidden pictures when you crossed your eyes), and really, why we humans bothered with civilization in the first place. And it doesn't hurt how heavily we all associate them with some of the most fun times we had as kids.

Dippin' Dots Makes A Move In Lubbock
According to a post made by the South Plains Mall, the little Dippin' Dots kiosk is moving to the center court, where it will now offer "more treats and expanded offerings." Tasty!
Also, don't forget you can also get Dippin' Dots inside Premiere Cinemas if you're catching a movie too.
Why We Still Love Dippin' Dots
Well for one, they have a Dr. Pepper flavor.! And the banana split flavor has been my favorite since I was a kid.
Also, Dippin' Dots tend to be less messy than other ice creams, don't melt as quickly, and have a unique texture (one that's fun to chew, assuming you don't have too much cold sensitivity).
Congrats on your expansion Dippin' Dots!
