
Urgent! Texans Need To Check Fridges After Deadly Outbreak Potentially In Pasta
A deadly outbreak of Listeria has potentially orginated from certain ready-to-eat pasta dishes that were distributed nationwide to Walmart and Kroger stores, according to the USDA.
Three deaths have been reported due to this outbreak, including one Texan, according to The Guardian.

The CDC and FDA are investigating an outbreak linked to a recall of Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo meals produced by FreshRealm and sold under the Marketside or Home Chef brand.

How Do We Know Pasta Caused This Listeria Outbreak?
These products have NOT yet been confirmed to be the source of the outbreak; however, they are being investigated after 17 people were sickened, including 3 deaths and 1 pregnancy loss.

When an outbreak like this happens, the first course of action is to interview the available sick people to see what they ate in common before they were food poisoned.
Additionally, Listeria and other foodborne pathogens can be tested with accuracy to see if they are the same strain. According to The Guardian:
The strain of listeria bacteria that made people sick was found in a sample of chicken fettuccine Alfredo during a routine inspection in March, US agriculture department officials said. That product was destroyed and never sent to stores.
That is enough evidence for me to take the recall seriously- if you have this product in your fridge, DO NOT CONSUME IT.
