La Hacienda Mexican Cafe Announces Final Operating Day
Another Victoria business has announced its closing. La Hacienda Mexican Cafe announced on social media that its last operating day will be on Monday, September 7th. The reason for closing? Retirement. La Hacienda had an incredible 23-year run in Victoria.
After 23 years of serving our community, we’ve made the bittersweet decision to close our doors and retire. Our final day will be Labor Day, Monday, September 7th.
La Hacienda will be missed in Victoria. The question now becomes: how long will that location stay vacant? I think a new business will call that place home in the next year or less.
Who remembers Marco's Mexican Restaurant?
If you are from Victoria, some of you remember what that location was before it was La Hacienda. From what I can remember, it was an Italian restaurant called Prima Pasta for a short time before La Hacienda took over. However, when I was growing up, that building was Marcos Mexican Restaurant. That place had incredible fajitas.

That whole area looks totally different today. When La Hacienda first opened up, Blockbuster Video was right next to it. There was a Toys R Us right across the street, and the McDonald's was colorful and still had a play place in front. Oh yeah, there was even a Sears in Victoria Mall.
