High Bills or Leaks? TWU Rolling Out ‘My TXK Water’ Online Portal Next Month
Texarkana Water Utilities is getting ready to roll out a new online tool that will let customers keep a closer eye on their water usage, spot possible leaks and hopefully avoid some surprises when their water bills arrive.
The new portal, called My TXK Water, is expected to launch in phases beginning in early November 2026. Customers will be able to see how much water they're using throughout the month instead of having to wait until their bill arrives to find out.

And with some customers raising concerns about higher water bills, having a way to track water usage could come in handy.
Keep an Eye on Your Water Usage
The new portal will allow customers to check their water consumption in near real-time, with details available by the hour, day, week or month.
Customers can also set up alerts for unusual or continuous water usage. That could help identify problems like a running toilet or a leaking pipe before it turns into a huge expense.
Texarkana Water Utilities Director Gary Smith says the portal will give customers a better understanding of what's happening with their water usage.
With this portal, customers will have the ability to see what's happening with their water usage throughout the month, rather than finding out after the fact.
Smith also said the tool can help customers conserve water, monitor their usage and catch potential leaks before they become bigger problems.

Make Sure Your Contact Information Is Up to Date
TWU plans to introduce the portal in four phases, beginning in early November. Customers will receive access at different times; giving the customer service staff plenty of time to help residents set up their accounts and answer questions.
Before the rollout begins, customers are being asked to make sure the email address and phone number connected to their water account are current.
You can update your information through the existing TWU billing portal or by emailing customerservice@txkusa.org.
Customers will receive an email invitation with instructions to activate their new account when it's their turn. TWU will also send reminders through text alerts and notices included with paper bills.
