Houston Texans Improve Their Record to (5-0) With Win Over New York Jets

The Houston Texans took care of business Monday night at MetLife Stadium with a 23-17 win over the New York  Tebows Jets.

As usual, the Texans didn't need an incredible amount of offense because of their strong defense and high amount of time of possession. The Texans had the ball for 35:16 and forced 2 turnovers. They also converted 6/15 on 3rd Down. The game was tied at 7 after the first quarter, but 10 second quarter points for Houston put the game out of reach.

Jets starting quarterback Mark Sanchez was held to 14/31 passing for 230 yards with 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions.

Arian Foster continued to lead the way offensively for Houston, he rushed for 152 yards on 29 carries and scored 1 touchdown. Backup running back Ben Tate, who usually spells Foster, was inactive due to a toe injury. Matt Schaub also contributed to the scoring by throwing one touchdown pass to tight end Owen Daniels. Defensively, J.J. Watt had 4 tackles and 1 sack.

The Texans continue their best-ever start to a season in team history by improving their record to (5-0). They are in first place in the AFC South and they have the best record in the AFC. Meanwhile, the Jets are now (2-3).

Tim Tebow did see playing time for the Jets. He went 0/1 passing and rushed the ball 5 times for 19 yards, including converting one 4th Down off of a fake punt.
