How much does it suck to spend all night lighting an attraction, only to have the cords stolen?

Even worse, how much does it suck to know you paid $20-$30 a cord and the ends were just snipped off so those expensive cords could be stripped for scrap?

Between Wednesday night at 1:30 a.m. and Thursday at about 3:30 p.m. (yes, during the rain), someone snuck into the back of the Lone Star Amphitheater and stole around 1,000 feet of cords from Nightmare On 19th Street. Just past their escape point, we found where they already started breaking down the cords.

It's easy to write this kind of theft off as "crackheads" -- and it no doubt was. But there's always a chance that one of you saw someone carrying around a ton of headless extension cords. This roll would actually be too big to even carry around and would require a basket or even multiple people.

We have some good news. We were able to corner one individual, who may or may not have been part of the thievery, and send them to jail on warrants. We have also added additional security measures to prevent future thefts. Still, after all the work and money we put into that one night, we'd love to get to the bottom of this.
