On Thursday, January 13th, 2022, Walter's World of Pets took to social media to inform the public that they had been broken into the night before, and that one of their animals was stolen.

The pet store, located at 3020 34th Street in Lubbock, posted an image of their broken front door and let everyone know that a Green-winged Macaw had been stolen from the store. A Green-winged Macaw is among the largest in the macaw species, coming in at around 35 inches from its head to the tip of its tail.

Only the one bird was stolen, but it must be noted that every animal in the store was put in danger by this break-in.

Walter's World of Pets is offering $1,000 for the return of the aforementioned Green-winged Macaw and the conviction of those responsible. Anyone with any information at all can contact Walter's World of Pets by calling 806-741-0123 or by messaging them on their Facebook page.
