Goalie Scoring Own Goal Should Immediately Scour Want Ads
We've seen bad goals in soccer before, but this one may take the cake.
Minnesota United FC goalkeeper Sammy Ndjock scored a not-so-memorable goal for Britain's AFC Bournemouth in a recent friendly.
Yeah, own goals are never good and this one will most certainly be a lowlight for Ndjock. And while sometimes mistake happen to even the best of us, we have to wonder how on earth did this happen?
This is akin to a quarterback handing the ball to a linebacker and escorting him to the end zone or a second baseman trying to throw out a runner at first, but firing it to the hot dog guy in the upper deck, instead.
Cheer up, Sammy. In this internet age when the news cycle moves quicker than a forward dashing toward the net, people are bound to forget this. At least we hope they are for your sake.
