Get a Powerful Glimpse of Our Texas Game Wardens in Intense Rescue Training [Gallery]
Last year alone, Texas Game Wardens rescued 1,800 Texans in 108 counties and they recently completed extensive Swift Water & Enhanced Search and Rescue Training.
Texas Parks & Wildlife sent training photos that we're glad to able to share with you in the gallery above.
These photos give us a sense of the hands-on work and risks faced in all that our Texas Game Wardens are challenged with.
With the significant severe weather we've faced here on the South Plains and across the state, it's vital to know that Texas Game Wardens are ready and prepared to serve, assist and rescue.
Their recent press release states that:
Texas game wardens receive this highly skilled and technical training to better serve their communities and assist other local agencies. Specialized swift water equipment including the rescue boat pictured are essential to life saving efforts.
These pictures were taken at the training site near Lake Bridgeport Texas.
Texas Game Wardens have been on the job rescuing and responding to major disasters in Texas since 1895. The urgent calls they respond to include floods, tornadoes, and wildfires.
