The body of slain Texas Tech police officer Floyd East, Jr. has been returned to his family in El Paso, Texas.

The Daily Toreador posted videos of Officer East's body being moved from a hearse to a small plane Saturday afternoon. It was a somber and powerful moment, with law enforcement moving the flag-draped coffin into the plane.

Officer East was killed Monday, Oct. 9 inside the Texas Tech Police Department. The man accused of killing him, 19-year-old Hollis Alvin Daniels, is currently being held on a $5 million dollar bond. Daniels confessed to killing Officer East according to an arrest warrant.

memorial fund for the family of Officer East has been established by Texas Tech University.
