Firefighters Respond to House Fire Near Smyer

Firefighters responded to a house fire at around 9:30 a.m. Friday morning near Smyer.

The fire was in the 1800 block of North Farm-to-Market Road 168 in Hockley County, and it was later confirmed that the location was a single-family residence.

KAMC News reports that flames could be seen coming from the roof more than an hour after the initial call.

No injuries have been reported.
