Despite The Power Outages The San Francisco 49ers Take Down The Pittsburgh Steelers 20-3 [VIDEO]

Despite two power outages that delayed play for close to 35 minutes, the San Francisco 49ers took down the Pittsburgh Steelers 20-3 last night on Monday Night Football.

Vernon Davis caught a 1-yard touchdown pass for the 49ers one play after setting himself up with a 21-yard reception from Alex Smith, Frank Gore ran for a 5-yard score and David Akers kicked field goals of 22 and 38 yards to overtake Hall of Famer Jerry Rice for San Francisco's single-season scoring record. The fact that a kicker now holds the single season scoring record in San Francisco shows how completely Jim Harbaugh's arrival has changed their football philosophy. More stats are available here.

The 49ers win was over shadowed by the situation in and around the stadium. The power was out for at least thirty minutes, not only interrupting the television broadcast, but more importantly the game on the field.
