Deadly Train Crash Kills Two and Injures Seven in Fort Worth
Two people are dead, and seven hospitalized after a dump truck crashed into a passenger train in east Fort Worth Saturday afternoon.
ABC News affiliate WFAA reports the accident occurred just after noon near the 12700 block of Calloway Cemetery Road, near Trinity Boulevard and North Collins Street. Officials say the dump truck drove over a railroad crossing when a passenger train was travelling through.
The dump truck was destroyed in the crash while the passenger train was damaged on its side, busting several windows.
Two individuals in the dump truck were pronounced dead at the scene, while seven people in the train suffered non-life threatening injuries.
