The Dallas Cowboys backfield may be a little thinner heading into their match up against the New York Giants as backup running back Joseph Randle was arrested over the weekend, multiple sources reported.  The reports indicate that Randle was arrested for Class B Misdemeanor Theft, which specifies theft of a value between $50 and $500.  He was booked into Frisco city jail and released after posting bond.  Randle is accused of attempting to steal underwear and cologne from the Dillard’s in Stonebriar Centre Mall.

The arrest comes just a day after Randle enjoyed a breakout performance in the Cowboys’ win against Seattle.  His 38-yard run in the first quarter helped spark the Dallas offense, and he finished with 52 yards on five carries.  “I’m always trying to just be ready, because that’s just kind of the role I’ve got,” Randle said on Sunday. “You don’t ever know when your number is going to get called. I’ve got to be ready to do that whenever they call me.”

Randle's status for Sunday's game is not in question as the team said on Wednesday that the running back will face a significant fine but will not be suspended.  Kickoff for that game against the divisional foe in the Giants is set for 3:25pm on Sunday and can be seen on FOX.
