Head coach Jason Garrett had this to say about Ware's progress thus far, “It seemed to go pretty well for him.  He made progress. He was better at the end of the week than he was at the beginning of [last] week. But we've got to see how he is over the next few days and hopefully we can get him out on the practice field.”  The nine year veteran defensive end had his streak of playing in 134 consecutive games snapped Sunday when he didn't play against the Philadelphia Eagles because of the right thigh injury. But with him already running, Monday showed promise in his recovery.

Now him being ready for this Sundays game in Detroit against Calvin Johnson and the Lions may be a stretch, but the four week timetable they originally predicted for Ware may be a week or so off.  Owner Jerry Jones talked to the media earlier in the week and had this to say about Ware's injury and a possible time table for his return, “We want to watch this because he’s got the type of injury that if he comes back too fast - he doesn't have a tear there now, he doesn't have an imperfection – if he tries and goes too early, then he could get an imperfection.  So that’s another world, relative to how quickly he’ll be back.”
