Customers Practice Social Distancing at Lubbock’s Home Depot Near the South Plains Mall
Earlier this week, non-essential businesses were ordered to close in Lubbock by Mayor Dan Pope. As part of the mayor's fourth and fifth Disaster Declarations, the closure for non-essential businesses is to go through April 3rd, 2020.
Home Depot is considered an essential business as part of the latest Disaster Declaration. Section 17 allows 'Building Supply and Home Improvement Retailers' to stay open, provided social distancing and CDC guidelines are followed concerning store occupancy.
In the pictures, you can see customers waiting in line, spaced approximately six feet apart.
Sources tell KFYO News that less than 50 people are being allowed in the South Plains Mall- location of the Home Depot location at one time.
