Next week, the Clovis Police Department will resume fingerprinting services for citizens in the Land of Enchantment.

Clovis PD will official resume the fingerprinting services on Tuesday, March 9. The fingerprinting services will be offered to the general public, by appointment only on either, Tuesdays or Thursdays. To schedule an appointment, call (575) 763-9428. First responders and medical personnel will have more flexibility in scheduling their appointments.

The Clovis PD also notes, "To prevent the spread of Covid-19 (sic) all precautions will be taken at the time of your appointment. Please be prepared to wear a mask and practice all safety protocols."

The Clovis Police Department is located at 300 North Connelly Street, Clovis, NM 88101.  Any questions or concerns can be called into the Records Section of the Clovis Police Department at (575) 763-9428.

Numerous state laws require applicants, licensees, or benefit recipients to undergo a national fingerprint based background check. Individuals working, or attempting to work some of the following professions or industries in New Mexico, are required to have a fingerprint based background check:

  • Teachers
  • Childcare providers
  • Healthcare providers
  • Accountants and attorneys
  • Security guards
  • Concealed carry applicants
  • Real estate agents
  • Liquor License applicants or license holders
