The Texas Rangers beat the Chicago White Sox 2-1 to take the series, 2-1

In this pitcher’s duel C.J. Wilson had the White Sox in a shut out till giving up his first run of the game in the 7th. C.J. got 5 strike outs yesterday, gave up 5 hits and had no walks. Wilson improves his record to 5 – 3 on the year.

Wilson left yesterday's game early and had an eventful night driving home:

"I drove through some sort of a cyclone at 11 o'clock. It was the most exciting driving experience I've had on the streets. I was in my truck, going sideways and stuff." - AP

Gavin Floyd was on the mound for the White Sox. Floyd had an impressive outing going 7 innings getting 5 strike outs and giving up 1 earned run on 5 hits. Floyd now drops to 5-4 on the year.

The scores for the Rangers came on a Mitch Moreland sac fly to bring in David Murphy to give the Rangers the lead.

Ian Kinsler extended that lead on a single to score Yorvit Torrealba to make it 2 – 0. Both runs were scored in the 3rd.

In regards to  playing after yesterday's game that didn't end till the early a.m. Kinsler had this to say:

"We've dealt with a lot worse. Go home, get your sleep, and get ready for the game. There's nothing special to it. It doesn't wear you out that bad. If anything, playing a day game in the sun wears you out a little bit, but as far as last night, it didn't have too much of an effect." - AP

The Rangers will have today off as they rest up for a 3 game series starting Friday night at 7 o'clock against the Kansas City Royals.
