Beware of Decorative Contact Lenses This Halloween
This time of year everyone wants to dress up; it's the Halloween season after all. But decorative contact lenses are not always what they're cracked up to be.
According to the Texas Attorney General's Office:
They (contact lenses) must be both approved by the FDA and prescribed by your doctor, so the concept of a "one-size-fits-all" lens is completely illegal.
The only time you should EVER get decorative contacts is if you go to a licensed optometrist.
Last year, a Lubbock woman went legally blind after buying and using contact lenses according to a report from Everything Lubbock.
So, in short, just don't do it. It isn't worth losing your eyesight over.
