Southern women are some of the kindest people until you get on their bad side. You might think her saying “bless your heart” is a nice thing if you aren’t from the south. Us southerners know that really means you done F***ed up.

There is something about Lubbock that makes it a highly polarizing place to live. You either love it or hate it, and there is little to no in-between. There are a variety of things to form opinions about, and it and some are more apparent than others.

Located at the Marriott Marquis Houston, this pool is impressive. The pool almost looks more like a lazy river in the way it was designed. There is a center platform shaped like the state of Texas, and the pool frames this platform, following the shape.

The Texas summer has been going on for far too long at this point, and most of us are ready for fall to finally arrive.

Sitting at 8,433 square feet, this house has everything you could ever want. Its Mediterranean style gives a luxurious-yet-warm feeling with custom amenities throughout the home.

Curious about what things people in Lubbock aren’t fans of, I surveyed some locals. I asked them ‘What are your favorite things about Lubbock?’ but with the caveat of ‘wrong answers only’.

Located at 130th St & FM 179, this market is open every 1st and 3rd weekend from March through December on both Saturday and Sunday. It is made up of a variety of small buildings that have different vendors inside.

It is a beautifully crafted place with plenty of plants, magical décor, and of course, an iconic round door that leads right into your very own hobbit hole.

This weather event is impacting Texas the most from July 22nd to the 26th, but the current Lubbock forecast is showing a continuation of temps below 100 after the first few days of August.
