If anyone knows something we don't, tell us. This story is based on what we're literally seeing on Google right now.

After months of wondering whether or not Aloha BBQ was going to make a return, I'm sad to report that their Google listing indicates that they are permanently closed.

Just reading it online wasn't enough for me, so I gave them a phone call to be completely certain they are truly closed forever. Just as I suspected, nobody answered, and a recording stated that they are in fact closed, with no message about reopening.

What a total bummer and a crappy way to start off the new year. What am I going to do now that I can't get one of those delicious BBQ mixed plates for 8 bucks? Cry. That's what. That macaroni salad is a heaven I don't know that I'll be able to truly recreate at home, but someone has to do the Lord's work, and I will certainly try.

It seems like they were doing so well. There was always a massive line and a bit of a wait time when you ordered there. I never minded standing around 30 or 40 minutes for the most delicious food in Lubbock. If you never had the chance to go there, it's truly a shame.

Aloha BBQ is gone for good and now nothing else matters. If anyone receives word that this is all just a big misunderstanding and that they are actually going to make a comeback someday, let us know. We will be waiting... *sigh*...forever.
