Beginning Monday, March 29th, 2021, all adults over the age of 18 will be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccination.

The City of Lubbock Health Department made the announcement Tuesday morning on their Facebook page. While there are virtually no other details about the city's plan to get shots into the arms of a wider section of Lubbock's population, we expect to hear more soon.

You don't have to sit around and wonder when you will be able to get a vaccine or whether or not you will be eligible. Starting on Monday of next week, anybody over the age of 18 that wants a shot of that sweet, sweet coronavirus vaccine can have at it.

You can make an appointment for the shot at a number of places, but the Lubbock Civic Center is a great spot to get your shot done. There's virtually no line at all, and it only takes minutes to park, pop inside, get a shot and walk away feeling a little bit safer and freer.

If you're still on the fence about the COVID-19 vaccine, I'd encourage you to read more about it at the CDC's website. I think you will find that the shot is incredibly safe and the results have been stellar so far. Millions of people across the United States have already received the vaccine and are doing just peachy.

We won't be able to minimize or wipe this thing out for future generations without the help of everyone on the planet. It isn't just about you and me; it's about everyone.

So spread the news, guys. There's no more speculation on who can get a shot. Everyone over 18 is now a candidate. The shot is 100 percent free and you don't need insurance or anything else to get it. Just get in there and get it done so we can get back to living a more normal life.
