4th on Broadway Parade Starts at 9am at Broadway and Avenue M

Today is a day many in Lubbock have been waiting over a year for: the return of 4th on Broadway.

After being cancelled last year due to COVID-19, Broadway Festivals and the City of Lubbock have made many efforts for this year's 4th on Broadway to be just like years' past.

Today's SONIC Parade starts at 9am at the intersection of Broadway and Avenue M.

As you can see in the first photo below, this year's 4th on Broadway SONIC Parade route is pretty straight forward.  As previously stated, the parade starts at Broadway and Avenue M and will continue eastbound on Broadway for over a mile, before turning north on Canyon Lake Drive and snaking through Mackenzie Park. The SONIC Parade then ends at Parkway Drive.

Parking for this year's 4th on Broadway open at 7am. As you can see in the second map below, there are three main parking lots for this year's event. One lot costs $10 for parking, another at $7 and a third lot has free parking.

"The parade officially begins at 9:00 AM, but we encourage the community to arrive early to park and secure a good viewing spot, within the roped off boundaries set for your safety," says the FAQ page for 4th on Broadway.

There are also shuttle buses that will run to Mackenzie Park, after the SONIC Parade concludes through 9pm.
