
19 Pounds of Heroin Seized in Oldham County
TxDPS seized nearly 19 pounds of heroin last week during a traffic stop in Oldham County.
On March 28th just before 12 noon, a DPS Trooper stopped a vehicle traveling east on I-40, near Vega, for a traffic violation. During the stop, the trooper found multiple bundles of heroin inside the spare tire.
The driver, 47-year-old Joel Rocco, and passenger, 30-year-old Brandon Johnson, of the vehicle were arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, and then booked into the Oldham County Jail.
The drugs were allegedly being transported from San Diego to New York.
