10 of the Best Neighborhoods to Trick-or-Treat in Lubbock
Halloween is approaching, which means it's time to stock up on candy, decorate the house, and plan the ultimate trick-or-treating route.
Trick-or-treating is a great time to dress up as a family and have fun with the kiddos. It's also a good time for those of us that are giving out the candy. My favorite thing is seeing all the adorable costumes and the excitement on the kid's faces when they get their treats.
We're now at that time of the month where you start hearing the rumors about which neighborhoods are the best to visit.
The best neighborhoods to trick-or-treat in are usually shared through word of mouth. However, Nextdoor.com also has a special feature that helps you find what houses are planning to give out goodies on Halloween.
I used both of these methods to create this list. I was told that Lakeridge is a must because you might be able to snag full-size candy bars. I was also made aware of a home between 82nd and 98th, and Milwaukee and Upland, that gives out juice barrels.
If you want to check out the feature on Nextdoor, it allows people to say if they're planning to give our treats, have cool decorations to look at, or both. If you just want to stay in your neighborhood, this is also a great way to see which houses will be a good stop.
Of course, there are plenty of other great neighborhoods around Lubbock for you to trick or treat in that may not be on this list.
