The Houston Texans Break Out Incredible Play to Beat the Patriots
The Houston Texans beat the New England Patriots in Houston on Sunday night football in a major statement victory over the defending Super Bowl champions. The Texans victory kept them in first place in the AFC South, it also bumped the Patriots to the two seed in the AFC playoff picture.
The Ravens now control their own destiny for home field advantage in the AFC playoffs with the tie breaker over New England and identical records after 12 games.
It was the Texans night though and the highlight of the game came in the 4th quarter in an answer drive to stretch the lead to 19 and put the game out of reach. The Texans were deep in the Patriots territory when they broke out this reverse option play that ended with a Deshaun Watson touchdown. That's right, a reverse to the Texans best wide out where he pitches it to their quarterback who then dives into the end zone.
The Texans now look like legitimate playoff contenders heading into their final four game stretch of the season which includes the Titans twice who is snipping at their heels in the AFC South.
