Scam text messages are once again being sent to Texans.

Texas officials are warning of an increase in texting scams related to toll tag payments. Scammers are getting more creative and you should always be on the lookout!

Texans are urged to stay on high alert against romance scammers, especially around the Valentine's Day season.

The Odessa Police Department is warning residents about a phone scam targeting the community. Scammers are posing as city officials to trick victims into making payments or sharing personal information. Officials stress that the City of Odessa will never solicit payments over the phone. If you receive a suspicious call, hang up immediately and protect your personal details.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are prime times for scammers to strike. Always keep an eye out when you purchase items online or in the store, and always keep receipts and check your bank accounts!
