You may have heard the old adage, "when God closes a door, he opens a window."

It's a hopeful message that when faced with disappointment, there are forces in the world to give us another route to our goals. Mano Negra, a brand-new brewpub in Lubbock, has not yet opened their door for safety reason. However, that proverbial window is opening for business soon at 2610 Salem Ave., according to our friends at Lubbock in the Loop.

Per Mano Negra's Instagram page, there's even more to come in the next few weeks, including an online store.

I've been following the progress of Mano Negra since June when I had a lovely conversation with the proprietor. It's exciting to see someone's long-held dream come to fruition, and I'm thrilled for him and his family. He's among the nicest of folks I've ever reached out to write one of my silly articles about, so I'm cheering him along every step of the way.

For more updates, I recommend following Mano Negra's Instagram and Facebook. You can find Mano Negra's artisanal craft sodas, know as Hub City Craft Sodas, for sale most Saturdays at the Wolfforth Farmer's Market, along with many other incredible local vendors selling everything from chocolate truffles that shine like jewels to beard oil, natural sunscreen, art, pantry sundries and of course, fresh seasonal produce.
