UPDATE: Missing 11-Month-Old Lubbock Child Is Safe, Back at Home
Update: According to Lubbock Police Department Public Information Officer Tiffany Pelt, Ethan Contreras was returned to his home Sunday afternoon. He was unharmed. The father who allegedly took him earlier in the day, John Contreras, has not yet been located.
Original story: Lubbock police are searching for 11-month-old Ethan Contreras. The father of the child, John Contreras, broke into the mother's home at around 10 a.m. Sunday morning (Dec. 24).
He took the child by force, then left the home, police said in a press release. LPD has located the vehicle that the elder Contreras was driving, but have not found him or the child.
The elder Contreras is 19 years old, stands 5'7" inches tall and weighs 130 pounds.
Lubbock police officers are actively looking for the child and are requesting any help from the public. If you have seen either John or Ethan Contreras, Lubbock Police ask that you call 9-1-1.
