West Texans are unique and know how to have a good time. Halloween is around the corner and all the parties are fast approaching. With the spooky season here, it may be too late to get a costume ordered for the next event.

SPOOKY SEASON IN WEST TEXAS

Trick-or-treating isn't what it used to be. I remember when you could get your candy bag full just by going around the blocks in your neighborhood. The last time I tried this with my kids, we walked for hours and only got half a bag of candy each. Good thing we came up with solutions.

Since October began, trunk-or-treats have started. There is plenty for the kids to do but what about the parents? Don't worry, multiple Halloween parties will be held throughout West Texas for the adults who want to let out their inner child.

PICKING THE RIGHT COSTUME

Now you could go to Spirit Halloween but most costumes are gone by mid-October and are pretty pricey. With the good picks gone, it's understandable that you don't want to spend the big bucks on the leftover stock.

Halloween can get expensive if you start adding up all the costs. A true Halloween lover will have decorations in and outside the house. Plus, you can't be the only house in the neighborhood that doesn't give full-size candy bars either.

MAKE IT WEST TEXAS

Whether you don't have it in the budget to get another costume or decided last minute that it would be fun to dress up, here are some West Texas-themed costumes you can easily create.
