I’ve seen numerous laws in the great state that made me question if it was a joke or if the state of Texas was serious and to my surprise Texas was very serious. Texas released a new law that in some people's eyes may seem a little ridiculous, but the reality is, if you don’t follow the rules, you can find yourself with serious consequences. DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS

Even though legally, you can even operate a vehicle without it having a windshield oddly enough if you don’t have windshield wipers in Texas, you are breaking the law. I was always told that windshields are considered luxury items and not standard in all vehicles but when they’re installed wipers are recognized as part of a safety precaution. The TXDPS doesn’t necessarily state that you can find yourself at any jail time, but you could receive a fine. Make sure if you’re in the great state you have your windshield wipers because NOW it’s against the law not to.
