Texas Tech Football To Face BYU in the Big 12 Championship Game
Texas Tech Football has been amazing to watch all year, and now it's about to get even bigger. For the first time, Texas Tech will play for the Big 12 Championship. Even bigger than that? This Texas Tech team seems like a lock to make the College Football Playoff.
Texas Tech in the Big 12 Championship
This Saturday in Arlington, the Red Raiders will face a familiar foe. BYU, a team Texas Tech has already defeated will be the opponent on Saturday. And it may not be an easy game for Texas Tech. BYU really has nothing to lose. If they win, they get into the playoff. If they don't win, they could be on the outside looking in.

According to the experts, if Texas Tech wins, they will most likely secure a top-4 seed in the playoff, which would mean a bye week and then possibly a game in the Cotton Bowl. If Texas Tech loses, they will fall out of the top 5 for sure, but still should make the playoff, but that's not how you want to get it.
Both BYU and Texas Tech come into the Championship game at 11-1. Texas Tech is only the sixth team in 100 years to win at least 11 games by 20 or more points according to the AP.
