An Iconic Texas Restaurant Has Been Purchased By ‘Yellowstone’ Creator Taylor Sheridan
An iconic restaurant in the Fort Worth Stockyards has new owners and a new lease on life. And of those owners is the creator of the hit series, 'Yellowstone', Taylor Sheridan.
Sheridan and his business partners recently purchased the Cattlemen's Steak House in the Fort Worth Stockyards.
Cattlemen's Steakhouse, An Iconic Texas Restaurant
Cattlemen's Steak House was founded in 1947 in the Fort Worth Stockyards. Sheridan and his business partners announced the purchase on Wednesday according to WFAA. The steak house is closed right now as it undergoes renovations. According to WFAA, the renovation will cost millions of dollars.
In a press release, they said the renovation will preserve what made Cattlemen's "iconic" while "maintaining the core essence of the menu".
Multimillion Dollar Renovations Happening Now
WFAA reports that the new ownership group wants to expand the menu, add a new dining area, along with a new bar and event space.
Part of that includes plans to add to the food and wine offerings, new dining, bar and event spaces, an outdoor patio with a live music stage and a new private club called the Cattlemen's Club. The club, which is set to open this summer, will be a members-only space with capacity for 130 people.
To become a member of the Cattlemen's Club, the cost is $3,000 plus a $1,000 initiation fee. Eater has a piece out showing some of the renderings for what Cattlemen's will look like.
This isn't the first time Sheridan has been involved with steak. Last year Sheridan's Four Sixes Ranch opened a pop-up restaurant in Las Vegas that did very well.
