I've been directly or indirectly involved with media in Lubbock my entire life. My dad worked in radio starting at KSEL in the 60s and then went on to be part of the founding crew at KFMX. He then started his own advertising agency in 1980. He was also the voice of the Goin' Band from Raiderland for a decade.

When he told me I had to get a job at 15, I knew EXACTLY what I wanted to do -- radio. I started working behind the scenes and eventually got an on-air position and I've now been here for three decades. No kidding. This is actually my 30th year in the business and I still love it!

I mention all that to say, I've come across just about every local 'celebrity' you could possibly name and it's just about impossible to pick a 'favorite'. I will say that I love my friend Pete Christy like a brother and Abner Euresti has always been one of the most professional and nicest people you'd ever want to meet. Same goes for Karen McKay.

I could go on and on naming people I've worked with or had some sort of significant time with -- Ron Roberts, Mike Pritchard, Joe Ely, Wade Bowen, Pat Green, Wes Nessman, Nikki Dee Ray, Mike Leach, Spike Dykes -- and the list goes on and on!

But, what about YOU? Who is your favorite local celebrity or public figure from Lubbock?

Here's what you had to say...

How do YOU participate in the daily Facebook question?

It's simple! Just go like our Facebook page right here, check it daily and answer the question. Usually, we ask about current events (ZERO political questions), food, pets, holidays and things along those lines. Basically, we just want to get to know our listeners better and we want to know your opinions on certain thing

Plus, it's FUN!

What's a rumor you heard about a house in your neighborhood when you were a kid?
