We had a GREAT time and a GREAT turnout for Oktoberfest at Escondido Grill & Spirit Ranch over the weekend!

In case you weren't aware, Oktoberfest is a two-week festival in Munich, Germany that celebrates Bavarian culture, food, and beer. But, we didn't have to go all the way to Germany to celebrate the occasion because the folks at The Escondido Grill and Spirit Ranch did a BIG one right here in Lubbock!

There were activities for the kids, food, lederhosen, live music and BEER! Lots and lots of beer. As a matter of fact, guests were able to sample tasty beer creations from all over West Texas and beyond!

We even did a stein holding competition and a best dressed contest. The stein holding is WAY harder than you might think. I tried it and couldn't get past the three minute mark. My arm actually hurts today!

Jason and all the crew at Escondido were great to work with and special thanks to them for having me as the emcee for the event. My mom, sister (who actually lived in Germany for 12 years) and girlfriend all had a great time and enjoyed the beer tastings as much as I did!
