YouTube Engineer Gets Revenge for Everyone That’s Had a Package Stolen
Package theft is a serious problem all across America, especially during the holiday season. Thieves are scoping out homes, waiting for the right opportunity, and snatching the things you paid and waited for.
Even cameras don’t stop these thieves a lot of the time. So, what do you do?
Well, Mark Rober, an engineer, and YouTuber with over 23 million subscribers is on a mission to get revenge for anyone that has had a package stolen. He’s done this by creating four generations of ‘glitter bombs’ that are designed to not only inconvenience thieves, but catch them red-handed.
Each time he revises the design, it gets better and better. The most recent design includes a self-opening lid, a glitter bomb, skunk spray, police lights, and four phones set up to record every angle. This device is then disguised in an Apple HomePod box, and placed on someone's porch until it is stolen.
It is absolutely hilarious to watch the videos of people opening up what they stole, only to be severely inconvenienced and caught on tape. It is also sad to see how many people actually steal packages and feel no remorse. So many of the thieves are upset about the trap, but don’t realize that it never would have happened if they hadn't stolen it in the first place. One girl even laughed about, saying she ‘feels bad’ but still opens the stolen box.
Let this be a lesson to anyone that decides to steal packages this holiday season. Watch out, because you never know when what you’re stealing is actually a trap waiting to expose you for your wrongdoing.
