The Lubbock Cattle Baron’s Ball is an annual event and fundraiser hosted by the American Cancer Society. With music, food, dancing, cocktails, auctions, and more, this is a country-western event you don’t want to miss.

This year’s ‘Honky Tonk Heros’ Cattle Baron’s Ball chairs are Gabe and Donya Butler. They’ve been passionate about the event for a long time, calling it a “boot-scootin' good time, all for a great cause.” They’ve chosen this year’s restricted gift to go towards children’s pediatric cancer because, “no child or family should have to endure that level of pain and suffering."

Since this Lubbock ball was founded in 1983, there has been over $8 million raised with each year hosting more than 800 guests. There have been a variety of iconic country music artists to perform including Reba McEntire, Clay Walker, Tracy Lawrence, and more.

The 21+ event has been hosted at V-8 Ranch for the past 30 years and this year is no different. The ball is on Saturday, July 29, 2023, with 49 Winchester as their headlining musician.

More information about the event can be found on their official website, or you can stay up to date on their official Facebook page.

As their website says:

“The American Cancer Society continues to save lives in West Texas by helping people get well and stay well through finding cures and fighting back against cancer.”

Even if you can't attend the event, there are other ways you can show your support. See their website for more information.
