Help A Texas Man Win The Doritos Commercial Contest
At the time of this writing, there are 12 days, 1 hour, 33 minutes, and 23 seconds left to vote in the Doritos 'Crash The Super Bowl' commercial contest.
Three finalists have been selected out of thousands of fan-created potential Doritos commercials. One of those finalists is from the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
The three finalists competing for the MILLION DOLLAR prize are commercials entitled:
- 'Charades'
- 'Abduction'
- 'Barbershop'
Doritos superfans, Super Bowl experts, Patrick Mahomes and other members of the Kansas City Chiefs picked the finalists. (Retail Wire)
The competition is on
The Dallas area finalist is Mark Blitch. Mark tells The Kidd Kraddick Morning Show that he came up with the idea for his 'Charades' spot and enlisted the help of a couple of his friends and son to make the commercial based on the family game that we've all played.
In the commercial the mom delivers some fantastic clues for the word 'Doritos', but somehow dad just doesn't clue in and gives a pretty funny answer to the word.
You can help this North Texas dad win the competition along with the million-dollar prize by voting for his video once a day on the Doritos Crash site. It'll just require your email address. I voted for him and will continue to vote for him.

He's up against another commercial that features an alien trying to abduct a bag of Doritos out of a guy's hands with a powerful beam of light. That light beam ends up tossing a guy around his place while he's holding onto the bag of Doritos.
The final commercial in the competition features a guy getting a haircut in a barber shop who ends up sticking the barber's pinkie finger, which is covered in Doritos cheese dust, in his mouth to get that all too familiar flavor!
The deadline to vote for one of these commercials is January 28th. The winner will be announced in early February and will win the million-dollar prize and their commercial could be shown during Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, February 9th.
Here are the other finalists.
You've got a few more days to vote for your favorite. Let's hope you vote for the Texas guy - 'Charades'!
