Wichita Falls, Texas Getting Ready for Halloween in the Park This Weekend
Get those costumes on, grab your trick or treat bucket, and get ready for a Saturday night full of Halloween fun.
Halloween in the Park October 19th, 2024
Sure Halloween is October 31st, but the Wichita Falls Parks and Recreation Department kicks off the Halloween season a little early this weekend with Halloween in the Park at the Wichita Falls Sports Complex located at 1702 Sheppard Access Road.
Costume Contest With Prizes
If you have a costume for this year, bust it out on Saturday for this because you could walk away with an awesome prize. Winners will be based on age or if you would like to do a group costume that is a separate category. For instance, if your whole family wants to dress up as The Flintstones, you would go into the group category instead of by age. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places prizes will be awarded for these categories.

Pumpkin Decorating Contest
For those with a more artistic side, you can also try to win a prize in a pumpkin decorating contest. A limited number of pumpkins will be available once the contest starts at 6PM. If you plan on doing this, I would get there early to reserve your spot because they will go fast.
Family Friendly Activities Will Also Be Going On
If you just want to come out and score some candy. You can play flippin chickens, ring toss, goblet game, clinko, ghost toss, wheel of fortune, and a lot more for your shot at some free candy. Bounce houses, an inflatable obstacle course, balloon sculptures, and a cakewalk will also be happening on site as well.
The event kicks off at 5PM and is scheduled to go until 8PM. For more info, you can contact the Wichita Falls Parks and Recreation Department at 940-761-7490.
