Over the past few days, a photo has been circulating online from some students at Tishomingo High School. The town of Tishomingo is just east of Ardmore in Oklahoma and the small town is going viral for students during spirit week. The six students wore scrabble tiles to school to spell out a racial slur which you can see below.

Now many are confused as to why the students wore these scrabble tiles to school on Monday, but it was actually the school that gave out the letters. Students were told to wear a black shirt on Monday and they would receive a random letter to wear on their shirt. Students were told to be creative with their friends and spell out a word and these six did this.

Homecoming Game Officially Cancelled by the School
According to several folks in the town in Oklahoma, the boys were originally given a light punishment. Which lead to quite the uproar online. After receiving a lot of feedback and threats the past few days. Yesterday afternoon, Tishomingo High School released a statement cancelling the homecoming game for Friday night.

Some online are saying that these six students are all members of the football team. However, many news outlets are reporting that not everyone in that photo is on the football team. We will see if this story dies down now that the game has been cancelled for tonight.
