Beloved mother of four and restaurant manager, 31-year-old Julie Marie Butcher, was shot in the head and killed while driving on an Interstate 35 access road last Friday, November 8, 2024.

The shooting caused Butcher's vehicle to roll off the road and into a ditch where police pronounced her dead at the scene. So far, police have not identified a suspect or any motives for the shooting that claimed the life of a woman described by her family as a "bright star" and "devoted in everything she did".

Julie Marie Butcher was the general manager at a Papa John's location in New Braunfels. It's clear she was very loved by her friends, family, and co-workers, who are now desperately looking for answers leading to the person behind this devastating tragedy.

Family spokesperson, Albert Vega, encouraged the responsible party to come forward, telling KENS, "It's never too late to turn around and do the right thing."

Police in the area have asked the public to contact their homicide unit at 210-207-7635 if they witnessed the tragedy or have further information that could lead to an arrest.

Remember, if you witness a crime, you don't have to get physically involved to help. Making a phone call to the police is always the right thing to do. If you see something, say something. Pass this article around to your friends and family in the San Antonio area and let's help them solve this mystery.
