Shocking! Texans Explain Why Their Family Gathering Went Bad

Getting together with family should be a good thing, right?

The Question

We asked a very open-ended question on Facebook. We just asked, "Why did your family gathering go bad?". We we're giving all kinds of answers big and small, with some hilarious situations, mostly mishaps involving alcohol. I don't know why people haven't learned that getting family together is stressful enough, that adding alcohol is just putting a spark to a fire; the result is always "WHOOSH!".

It Could Be Worse

Let's just say that these answers were being wrangled by a devil-may-care morning show on a rock station (because they were). There were some answers we aren't even comfortable presenting to you. We're here to laugh, and some a death and racism are being set aside so you can scroll through the answers without being completely deflated by the misery involved. So yeah, you probably had it rough at some get togethers, but I promise you, at least one respondent has you beat. Hopefully what's left here will be good for a chuckle or a relatable moment.

I'll be honest. Some of these answers will leave you hanging. You will wonder what was going on behind the scenes or what happened next. I guess you're just going to have to use your imagination. We like to just put these things out into the ether and see what comes back. As I said, some of the answers came back dark, and I mean like pitch black.  So, let's get to it.
