Lubbock, Texas may not have a zoo, or even pools, but the city has a "Haunted Theme Park" that keeps things exciting around here. Now that we've marked a "halfway to Halloween" point, we have exciting attraction news for you.

Lubbock's Nightmare On 19th Street will be entering it's 19th Year Of Fear this September/October. With a new year comes park updates and a new attraction.

Nightmare offers an incredible value in what may be the longest contiguous haunted theme park anywhere. It you take in all the attractions from the front step of the first to the final step on the last it's 1.25 miles (and that doesn't count wind-y lines either!).

Lubbock's "Nightmare on 19th Street" Unveils Roger Ratty's Pizza Playhouse

This year the park is introducing "Roger Ratty's Pizza Playhouse". This is a wild new idea inspired by, Five Nights At Freddy's. Yes, it's an abandoned pizza place, but instead of robots coming to life, it's human/animal hybrids.

The story behind "Roger Ratty's Pizza Playhouse" is simple. Something went very wrong with the cheese, causing the mascot "Mr. Ratty" and "The Dirty Possum Good Time Band" to go on a murder spree.

Did I mention that this new attraction is 3D? Patrons will visit this attraction wearing special glasses that make the bold colors really pop. This attraction will serve as a finale as patrons visit four attractions.

Nightmare is also proud to announce that "Nightmare Before Xmas" will return during the first weekend of December and the "Love Bites" event will happen on Valentine's night 2026. One final item (for now), Nightmare will be expanding to TWO Texas Tech nights this year!
