There's something really satisfying about seeing stuff get demoed, even if it also gives me a pang of regret for what was once a fun place to shop.

The Sephora inside JCPenney was recently demoed, so if you were hoping to do some shopping there, you're out of luck for that location. But don't despair, I have other options for you that I'll get to soon.

But first, here's footage and photos of the Sephora inside the JCPenney demo-

This Sephora did not close due to any lack of performance or sales. It was part of a nationwide transfer of Sephora stores from JCPenney locations to Kohl's locations. It appears that JCPenney will replace Sephora with their own "JCPenney Beauty" in many stores, starting with Texas locations: Denton, El Paso, Fort Worth, Frisco, Houston, San Antonio, and Tyler.

Lucky for Lubbock, there is now a Sephora inside our location of Kohl's, so there is an option to get your Sephora faves in town.

However, Sephora isn't the only in-town makeup option for Lubbock. Personally, I find shopping online for makeup to be a gamble, as there's no real way to be sure that the colors are displaying true on your monitor or phone, and it's also really difficult to tell when things are shimmery or glittery, etc. I also have a hard time telling the exact size of a product as well. So I prefer in-person makeup shopping.

Some other in-person makeup options in Lubbock include:

Lubbock Merle Norman and Wig Out (6816 Slide Rd #7, near Hobby Lobby)

Ulta Beauty (6070 Marsha Sharp Fwy)

Ulta inside Target (7302 University Ave)

Dillard's (various brand counters) inside South Plains Mall.

Wherever you shop, have fun, and I hope your new products look stunning on you.
