Lubbock Police Find Something Wacky Inside Stolen Vehicle
The Lubbock Police Department has likely seen it all, violence, stupidity, very drunk people, you name it.
Actually, they hadn't quite seen it all until recently, when Lubbock police officers seized the contents inside a stolen vehicle and found dozens of Little Debbie snack treats.
It was mostly Red, White & Blue cakes and Mini Muffins, with a few rolls of powdered donuts thrown in for good measure.
As you can imagine there are a LOT of different things our officers find in a stolen vehicle. Drugs. Guns. Stolen property. Little Debbies....oh, wait, no, that was a first for us!
The LPD assured everyone that they did not eat any of the evidence. I wouldn't have either, even though Little Debbies are delicious there's no telling where those Debbies have been.
The good Samaritan mentioned in the above post was Mr. Allen, who assisted an officer after the suspect driving the stolen vehicle bailed from the car and ran into a backyard.
Remember: running from cops always makes your charges much more severe.
As you can imagine, BIG 'thank you's' and big smiles were given Tuesday evening to Mr. Allen in response to his extremely helpful actions!
Here's more about that story:
Unfortunately, helpful people and a car full of Lil Debbies are rare in the LPD's line of work. I imagine they mostly deal with difficult, non-compliant people and have to be on the scene of grisly deaths and sad incidents like car accidents.
It's nice that they got at least one strange and silly case.
